Mm...whatever happend to that Siege PvP game?
Is it still in and I just haven't found it?
I remember playing it way back in one of the Betas. It was set up and you had the defending team and an attacking team.
Then you had a big base thing and there were 3 ways in.
One was of course the front entrance, two was a side entrance thing which was a big root that grew over the wall, and the last one wasn't really an entrance, just a vantage point to kill the guy.
Anyways the point was to kill some guy in the base.
The attacking team got 8 people (the teams were random) and they had to kill said person to win (it was an NPC, not an actual player) they respawned about every minute or so.
The defending team got the fort and some NPCs to help defend. They had to keep the guy alive for I think it was 5 minutes.
After two rounds the teams switched and it was best out of 5 I believe.
What happend to this game? Is it still in and I just missed it or what?
Edit: And of course if it's not still in I suggest it be put back in.

To my knowledge, it is not in. And yes, it should be in.

That sounds really fun. PvP should have more variety in the battles.

Here's a (very) crude drawing of what I remember of the area.
The dark green dot was attackers res shrine, the blue one was defenders. The dark red thing was the priest who tended the shrine (who I remember was like a level 20 or so monster, this was when you started at level 15 and getting to 20 wasn't very common).
The red streaks are bridges and now that I think about it I think there were three entrances in addition to the back place to snipe the target.
The brown thing is teh root I was talking about and the green splotches are wooded areas that were just there.

Very, very artistic
But I was in thunder head keep awhile back, and thought "Siege would be excellent for PvP". Seriously.

I know, I'm well on my way to becoming the Picasso of the 21st century.
But yah that's kinda what it looked like.
Am I the only person who remembers that? I know it existed...it was my favorite game to play and on teh last day of the Beta event I played it til the server shut down.

Naw I am 110% confident that this existed and surely there's someone who can back me up.
But regardless, even if it didn't exist (and I know it did) it should.

Nope, nothing like king of the hill.
One team starts outside the fortress, the other keeps them out.
If the attacking team kills the priest or whatever then they win.
The defending team wins by saving the priest and keeping the other team from killing it for 2-3 minutes.
But it's hella hard cause the other team has more people and some NPCs to keep ya out.
Twas fun.

I remeber the missons you mean. I loved it. The one beta i did nothing but siege missons.
They were so much fun but also soooooooo hard. I mean the team in teh fort had an army of henchmen helping them and 9 times outta 10 the siege team lost. I think i was on the siege team every time but once.
Would like to see siege come back but make it something like the team with the fort is facing two teams besieging them. Would make it harder and the team in the fort having the henchman army wouldn't be such an overwhelming advantage

I loved being the sieging team because of how hard it was.
It was one of the few things in the game that was actually a challenge. I won HoH more than I won that siege game.
Fun stuff, glad I'm not the only one who remembers it.

It does need to come back. I swear I got obsessive over it.
the most frustrating part was no matter how much i explained attaick the back door was easier and better chance of killing hte Lord(i mean i nearly killed it myself a handful of times) everyone just wanted to assult the frunt door. seriously it was the biggest meat grinder ever

It sounds fun. It reminds me of the hours that I spent playing dustbowl in TFC.
